Our story

Rising Together, One Step at a Time

She Rises Recovery LLC was founded on a simple but powerful belief: every woman deserves a safe space to heal, grow, and reclaim her life. We walk alongside women on their journey to recovery — not as bystanders, but as partners who understand the courage it takes to rise.

What We Stand For

Compassion

We meet every woman exactly where she is, without judgment. Healing begins when you feel truly seen and heard, and that is the foundation of everything we do.

Empowerment

Recovery is not something we do for you — it is something we help you discover within yourself. We provide the tools, encouragement, and belief that you are capable of lasting change.

Community

No one should walk this road alone. We cultivate a sisterhood of women who lift each other up, share their stories, and celebrate every milestone together.

Our Approach

Through peer support, mentoring, recovery coaching, life skills development, workforce readiness, trauma-informed education, creative expression, and community partnerships, we help women develop the confidence and resilience needed to thrive beyond survival.

At She Rises Recovery, we don't simply focus on overcoming addiction — we focus on restoring lives. We believe recovery is about healing the mind, body, and spirit while creating opportunities for purpose, leadership, healthy relationships, and long-term success.

Whether a woman is taking her first step toward recovery or continuing her journey of healing, she will find encouragement, acceptance, and hope within our community.

The Heart Behind She Rises

Founded by Lena Griffin-Mays, a woman with more than 15 years of lived recovery experience, She Rises Recovery was created from the belief that healing is possible when women are supported with compassion, understanding, and community. Our programs are designed to meet women where they are while providing practical tools for lasting recovery and personal growth.
